One of the most stylish movie series to have ever released in India, Dhoom has made waves upon its first release in the year 2004 with its first installment. This series draws its major charm from the magnificent superbike stunts present in the movies. Dhoom 3 is the much-awaited third installment of the series, starring famous actors like Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Uday Chopra and Jackie Shroff. This is the first Indian movie to have released in the film format of IMAX motion picture along with Dolby Atmos surround sound. This film became a major commercial success in the box office, grossing over 400 crores, surpassing the record of Chennai Express. The music for this installment is scored by Pritam Chakraborty, who is the music director of the previous installments as well.
Iqbal Haroon Khan runs The Great Indian Circus in Chicago during the year of 1990. Due to bad times, the bank from which Iqbal took loan to run his business shuts down his circus since the money wasn’t repaid properly. Sahir, who is the young son of Iqbal pleads Anderson, the owner of the bank, not to close the circus but the circus is eventually closed which devastates Iqbal and leads him to suicide. This shatters Sahir. A fully grown man in the year 2013, Sahir is trained in magic and acrobatics. He swears revenge for what happened to his father, thus robbing various branches of the bank that shut down his father’s circus. To solve this case and catch Sahir, three officers Victoria, Jai Dixit and Ali takes up charge and chases the robber.
The essence of the movie lies in this point of the plot, where interesting chases and intelligent escapes take place. This cop-thief chase makes the crux of the story. The third installment has added better stunts compared to the older ones, making it more exciting. It also has the famous Dhoom Machale Dhoom song, which is a nationwide hit song. Dhoom: 3 (2013) was released in the year 2014 by Yash Raj Films in VCD format. It has a U/A certificate and a run time of 172 minutes. The film is in the language of Hindi coming in 3 discs.
