The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
"The reason man may become the master of his own destiny is because he has the power to influence his own subconscious mind." ? Napoleon Hill The power of your subconscious mind cannot be under estimated. Even though we do not fully understand how the subconscious works exactly, the power of it is undisputed. It is important to understand that both negative and positive thoughts have an effect on your subconscious mind. By continually dwelling on what's wrong in our life, our subconscious is fed with negatives, and we become gloomy. Just by being aware of what we think, read, and listen to, we can make a positive change. If you leave it, your subconscious mind will be like a garden that is unattended - the weeds will take over. You DO have control over this awesome power. And the really cool thing is that there is no rocket science needed to develop it. A practical method for feeding your subconscious mind with positive material is reading. Find an article, or book chapter about something that really strikes a chord with you - somthing that's really positive. Keep this this handy (bedsied drawer or on your desk), and read it regularly. You will be amazed at how easily you recall this material after only a short time. That is the power of your subconscious mind. As Mr Hill advises us, we have "the power to influence his own subconscuious mind". You have the choice. Use it wisely my friend. You can only benefit. Trusting The Higher Self As very few people achieve enlightenment in one lifetime, as the both the subconscious mind, which has a drive to destroy and the conscious mind are very resistant to suggestions from the Higher Self. This is because messages from the Higher Self mostly manifest as gut feelings and hunches and the "orders" often are often perceived by the conscious mind to be irrational or impossible to attain. However, if you live by the belief that we live in a universe where there is a supply for every demand than nothing in theory nothing is impossible to attain. Mr. Shoaff gave me a very important warning in those early days that I would like to share with you. He said, "Never underestimate the power of influence." Indeed, the influence of those around us is so powerful! Many times we don't even realize we're being strongly affected because influences generally develop over an extended period of time. Abundance Creating Resources You Already Have You already have all the resources you need to accomplish all the things you want to achieve. Sound too good to be true, doesn't it? Fact is, it is true. You do have all the resources you need. All of them. The questions are: how broad is your awareness of these resources which resources are we talking of here? and, for which needs? There are countless resources that each individual possesses. It would be nigh impossible and self-defeating to attempt to discuss and highlight even a quarter of these resources in a short discourse as this one. Let us take a look at a few of the resources you already have to accomplish all the things you want to achieve: Creating Vision You have probably heard it before, or you may even have said it yourself. "Where there is no vision, the people perish". In the absence of a compelling vision, people tend to be stuck in their present circumstances. They wallow in a 'comfort zone' and drift from self-pity to anxiety and anger. Where there is no vision people perish. Vision is neither wishful thinking, nor is it an expression of hope or a modified form of day-dreaming. Vision is the rare ability of standing in the future and looking at the past as it unfolded. While you are standing there, you make decisions from that 'future' (instead of from pressing present circumstances). For some vision is the ability to outline a point of convergence related to their personal focus. This means determining and acknowledging ahead of fact, the destination of one's efforts.
