How Do You Define Your Success?
How does an online marketer define success ? There are many ways to describe success, but does it always have to do with a hefty bank balance ? I can consider myself to be an online success. Heck, I am not making a ton of money every month or consider myself to be a guru. So how could someone say they are a success with little to show for it ? Again, it all fits with your definition of success. For years too many people have believe that success is all about the realisation of material things . This has caused many persons to chase after their dreams in frustration and then give up. Because they are not making lots of money in the online gold rush, they think that they are losers and they are because they think themselves into failure. Anyone who adds value to another person's life is a success in my eyes. As long as they provide something to make you happier, make more money or feel good about yourself they are successful. We have many unsung heroes among us. They have overcome adversities and personal crisis in their lives and still have the drive to make another's live better. They are rarely seen in the news or on television. They don't have to anyway. Why ? Because they already know who they are and their limits and capabilities. Telling them is just reminding them of who they are. Keeping track of where you started and where you are now should give you some idea of how much progress you have made. So are you already a success or are you waiting on someone to tell you so ? I hope not. To your success and mine....... , Nicholas Dixon *****************************************************

Winning: Defining It - Achieving It If you ask most people whether they would like to be considered a winner or a loser in life, they would most assuredly reply that they would like to be a winner. Learning From Your Mistakes Your ability to deal constructively and effectively with mistakes and temporary setbacks is a mental skill that you can learn and become proficient at. The best way to deal with any failure is to realize that it is an indispensable prerequisite for success. You have to treat failure as an opportunity to lean, and begin again. You can overcome the fear of failure by doing the things you fear over and over again, and then resolve to bounce back, rather than letting them break you when things don't go right. The Secret Behind All Great Masterpieces: Lessons Learned! The ten-year period which followed the stock market crash of October 1929 is referred to as the Great Depression. This time frame is considered to be the worst and most difficult of Modern American History by business historians. Unemployment was as high as 27% among White Americans and reached 60% in the African American community. In Mississippi, on a single day in 1932, one quarter of the entire state was auctioned off. Scarcity and limitations were everywhere to be seen. The Gross National Product of the country, that unit of measurement which represents everything that is produced nationwide fell by as much as 43%. The prices of wheat and corn and cotton fell so low, the crops were left to rot in the fields. Many businesses and families were wiped out. Leave a Legacy What do Sam Walton, Ray Kroc, Hilton, Marriot, Firestone, Elvis Presley, The Kennedy's, John Huntsman, and Henry Ford have in common? They have all left a legacy. Think about the Waltons. Even though they slipped a little from last year, they are still going strong on the "Worlds Richest People List" Here is this years list: The American Dream Model The present model of business and career motivation, the one most closely associated with the "American Dream" which emphases enterpreuneurship, individual achievement, competition, and domination has been around for at least the last 50 years . Up to the mid 20th century, the predominant prosperity model was the Calvinist work ethic originally derived from the Puritan. The Calvinist work ethic emphasized hard work, saving for the future, and foregoing vacations, paying bills in cash, and foregoing luxuries to save for a rainy day. On the other, the motivation for moneymaking is no longer saving for the future, but, what Thornstein Veblen, the famous 19th century economist characterized as "conspicuous consumption." Luxury homes, luxury cars, fancy electronic gadgets, and exotic vacations create the illusion of wealth. The philosophy of the Amway Corporation, now known as Quixtel in the U. S. is a good illustration of the concepts involved. Parable for a New Age Daddy was a very, very odd little man-possibly a schizophrenic-for all we could figured out. He was a short stony-faced man that rarely smiled or talked very much. His Norweigan/Dutch family had endured quite a bit of disaster-wiped out in a storm in Iceland, and then wiped out in the dust bowl. He grew up in a part of California that just had been frontier 40 years prior. He was stern, stubborn rugged individualist and believed that everyone is responsible for themselves. Daddy had no use for religion. He was a doctor, a scientist, who believed that the human body was basically a machine to be fixed up and mended so that it could back to go to work in the orchards, fast food joints, and canneries of the great Central Valley we lived.
