Will You Be Successful?
We all want success. You do. So do I. Some achieve it. Most people do not - at least, not in the way they dream of it. Why? The principal reason is that the effort made does not match the size of the effort required. You see, most people just limp along doing the same old things, getting the same old results - day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, decade after decade. To be successful do you think you need to be extremely intelligent? Or good looking? Or have the most talent? No, no and no! Do you think you might have to be motivated? What about persistent? Do you think you should commit yourself to seeking ongoing knowledge? All of the questions above deserve a resounding answer of "yes." What then, are you doing to keep yourself motivated, keep chipping away at your goal and keep yourself abreast of information that will benefit your pursuit of success? Think about these things. You already know the answer, don't you? If you address your shortfall in these areas you will be well on your way to achieving success. However, if you continue to put any of them off then all you are doing is "marking time." This time next year you will be in the same position that you are now - but you will be one year older. There is no time like right now to make a start - not next year or next month. Not next week. Not tomorrow. Start now. Why delay your success for even one moment longer? Here are 5 qualities you need to master in order to become a successful person in your chosen field and in your life. Measuring Success As I have worked with people over the years I have seen an amazing thing. People often get frustrated because they aren't achieving "success." There are lots of possible reasons for this but one reason I have found that sticks out is that many people allow their definition of "Success" to be driven by someone or something else. Living A Life Without Limits The starting point of all great success and achievement is dreaming big dreams. There is nothing more important and nothing works faster. Successful people are able to let go of all their self-imposed limits. They continuously fantasize about the person they want to be, and all the wonderful things they can have and do. That is why all high achieving men and women are far more optimistic, confident, and creative than most people. Gratitude, Faith, and Clarity of Purpose -- The Most Powerful Statement "Things might have been worse" Are You an Emerging Champion? In terms of life success, there are four pretty obvious levels of accomplishment: First is the class of the current winners ? those who have figured out what they what they want, and are taking focused action to attain their goals. Success Through The Eyes Of A Child Adults, with eyes to see, can learn so much about success in life from children. Magical Houseplants Whenever I'm feeling stuck in a rut, I go out and buy myself a new houseplant. I usually do this when I get the sense that I am surrounded by stale energy. Most people can easily pick up on this kind of vibe -- emotionally you might be feeling stuck, bored, frustrated, or discouraged. This stale energy also often manifests itself on the physical plane -- the phone never rings, your loved ones and pets seem irritable, and the bills arrive long before you collect the money to pay them. Success: How To Succeed Most of the Time We set goals, strive for them and only consider ourselves successful if we attain them and attain them well. Reaching milestones is important BUT when we equate those milestones with "success", we get ourselves in trouble. Sometimes reaching certain goals just doesn't happen because there are circumstances that are completely out of our control or there are other factors that prevent our accomplishment. That being the case, we can't "succeed" if success only means getting to our goal. Success is a 6 Letter Word Let me ask you a question? What must happen for you to feel successful? Do you need to be admired by the people that you care most about? Do you need to have financial abundance? And if so how would you know what financial abundance is? 1 million dollars, 2, 100, a billion? Plan On Opposition to Your New Ideas. It?s Normal! Lets face it, no one enjoys rejection. But the reality is, a new idea starts getting negative assaults within three seconds and thirty percent of people will readily oppose a new idea without even taking sufficient time to find out if the new idea is good or not. Whether your idea is convincing your friends to try a new place for lunch or getting the advertising budget doubled, it can be an uphill battle. As a knee-jerk response, its normal for people to say: thats dumb, we tried that, it costs too much; it will never work, you don't understand, etcetera! The Secret to Intense Focus By One of the common elements you see in almost all successful people is focus. They saw what they wanted to achieve and they focused in on it like a laser. Then, when they become famous and we, the common folk, know their name, we are amazed at the focus they have. The Bulging Right Pocket It was one of the worst periods of time in my life. Fear of Success? Fear of Failure? What's holding you back? Nothing In-Between Are you on the right track? Principles Of Success Succinctly said, success is harmony. When the result is congruent with the ideal, success has been achieved. When the thought germinates and ripens to produce the consequence desired, victory is accorded. Signs Along the Road to Achievement One of the first things most of us remember hearing when learning to drive an automobile was "Keep your hands on the wheel." Then there were other precautions like, "Keep your eyes on the road, drive defensively, buckle up for safety, and watch the road signs!"
